Colorado Springs Outdoor Ice Skating

It's Saturday, December 22nd, yes, 3 days before Christmas.  If you are not quite done Christmas shopping but also looking to combine some holiday fun here is an idea.

Colorado Springs Outdoor Ice Skating

Take yourself or the whole family downtown and plan to have a meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) with all the great restaurants and coffee shops available you will be sure to find something that all will love.  A couple of my favorites are:

Breakfast:  Urban Egg, Denver Biscuit Company, Urban Steam Coffee Shop

Lunch:  La Baguette, Shugas and La'au's Taco Shop

Dinner:  The Rabbit Hole, Atomic Cowboy, Skirted Heifer

The fun comes with the Colorado Springs outdoor ice skating rink located in Acacia Park.   The hours are 11 am to 10 pm up to Christmas Eve.  Christmas Eve hours are 11 am to 4 pm.  Here is link for easy access to the schedule and details.   Outdoor ice skating is something to put on your annual holiday things to do for sure.  There are also special skating days including: broncos day, USA skating, and ugly sweater just to name a few. Did you know that the ice skating rink can also be rented for private parties?

Shopping downtown gives you not only a wide variety of stores and merchandise but also the ability to support local small business owners.  Stores include Bellissima, Halo Boutique, Frayla Boutique, Reginas, Rocky Mountain Soap Market, Savory Spice, Sparrow Hawk, Taylored West, Terra Verde and The Candy Bar.

Wishing you a successful last minute gift shopping day filled with fun and fabulous food as well.

Most of our outdoor rinks have been close because of the warm temps.
