Colorado Springs Real Estate Facts & Fun

You Can Still Make a Reservation for Valentine's Day

Ah, Valentine's Day.

Thanks to cultural hype, expectations run high on this day meant to celebrate love. There can be a lot of pressure to show your affection in material and creative ways. Despite the unending dispalys of red foil-wrapped chocolates and cute stuffed animals, incessant jewelry ads interrupting your favorite TV show, and the explosion of roses for sale everywhere, Valentine's Day can still be meaningful and joyful for you and your sweetheart.

This year the Day happens to fall on a three-day holiday weekend which provides more opportunities to celebrate. If you missed out on getting a reservation at that particular special place on Sunday, February 14, you could still try to get in on Friday or Saturday evening. If the two of you are open to other ideas, you could enjoy a Valentine's lunch or Sunday brunch instead. Start you celebration earlier in the day and you'd have time to go for an afternoon walk through Garden of the Gods, or a hike through Red Rocks Canyon. The weather forecast for the weekend looks great, with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 50's.

Included below are some fine dining venues where you may still be able to get a reservation. Check the websites for more detailed information. However, if fancy isn't really your thing, support one of the more casual local restaurants where the two of you know you'll be comfortable and take pleasure in each others company.  That's what Valentine's Day should really be about.
