This weekend I made a quick trip to Gunnison to present an offer on a ranch to the seller. We decided to bring our dog on her first road trip and a new addition to traveling presented itself. Where to stay that would take a dog?
Driving into town after dark we stopped at the first place we came to. Running in I asked, "do you accept dogs"? No, I'm sorry the clerk replied. But I recommend The Seasons Inn down the street. They are great people, good place to stay and accept dogs.
I could not have been happier with the result. Pulling in about 9:30 we were late and tired. Our host & hostess, the owners of the Seasons Inn were warm, caring and interesting to talk to. They said absolutely Nyah was welcome and we were able to get a good nights sleep, meet with the sellers the next day and get back in time for an important appointment.
A huge park is right across the side street from the Inn offering the perfect place for a dog walk before bed and again in the morning before taking off. The park also has playground equipment, plenty of room for a run or a nice walk.
Sometimes my mind wants to say no one cares about a place that accepts dogs in Gunnison. I did and hope that maybe someone else searching for a dog friendly hotel in Gunnison Colorado will benefit as well.
