Every once in awhile a gal just wants to feel like a princess in her own purple castle. There is a very popular local restaurant in Colorado Springs where you will be treated like a princess, and get to eat in a purple castle. It’s called King’s Chef Diner, located at 110 E. Costilla Street. King’s Chef Diner has two locations, the purple castle location on Costilla, and a corner (and much larger) location on the corner of Bijou and Nevada across the street from Acacia Park. The purple castle location is small, so going here with a large group won’t really work, but if you go with a couple of friends, you should be able to saddle up to the bar and order. Here you will get some of the best customer service, and a lot of laughs, with your meal. The food is inexpensive making it a great place to go for breakfast or a quick lunch. King’s Chef Diner sells it’s green chili by the jar, and can be added onto anything you order. The whimsical aura of King’s Chef continues through it’s unique menu with such offerings as “The Grump,” “The Thing,” “Merl Scramble,” and more. Dress like a princess or prince, or at least let your kids come dressed up to this whimsical dining establishment in Colorado Springs.
