365 Things to Do in Colorado Springs ~ Day 26 Bolder Boulder

Memorial Day is one week from today, and if you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late. The Bolder Boulder epic 10k (6.2 mile) race is hosted in downtown Boulder, Colorado every Memorial Day. A perfect event for the entire family with waves ranging from serious racer to walker. There are a lot of new things this year to the Bolder Boulder, new starting point, watch areas and more, so it is worth checking out the website: Bolder Boulder even if this isn’t your first run.

This is a particularly fun run as you see people racing in costumes, people cheering you on for the entire 6.2 miles, fraternity houses providing music along the way, and racing into stadium making you feel like an Olympian.

After the race, enjoy race festivities of free massages, goodie bags, and comraderie. Or, meet up with the family and head over to the Bolder County Farmer’s Market and Art Show taking place nearby. If you are still in the racing spirit, buy a rubber duck for the annual Rubber Duck race. Sure to be a good time for all members of the family!
