As the holidays start with Thanksgiving next week I had friends over for dinner to "practice" making prime rib for dinner. Turkey has been a standard in our house for years but as the kids have grown up and started going to their sweethearts families houses for the holidays I found out that making something other than turkey might be a good idea. Something like too many turkeys in the kitchen!
A girlfriend brought a great gift over (she said to say thanks for feeding her husband). I thought it was a great, creative idea. So good that it is now this article.
A huge wrapped basket of spices came into my kitchen and as we opened the basket we talked about what spices were their, what we had used over the years and what we needed. It was a great conversation and a terrific idea for gifts.
Here are a couple of suggestions for Colorado Springs Spice Stores:
Savory Spice Store - 110 N. Tejon,
Penzeys Spices - 2010 Southgate Road at the Broadmoor Towne Center and 7431 N. Academy Blvd. at Falcon Landing.
