My husbands brother-in-law passed away recently. His wife and kids decided that instead of flowers for his funeral they would like donations in his name for the Wounded Warrior Program. I found out this week that Lifequest Transitions, a non-profit organization that supports and empowers wounded ill and injured soldiers at Ft. Carson, is having its first annual fundraiser and holiday salute on December 15th. Buying two tickets was the easy part, watching the video and remembering the reality of what life can be life for soldiers and their families touched by war is very difficult. Honoring and celebrating a brother-in-law's life and what was important to him is an honor. Colorado Springs has a strong military presence and I hope, a strong military support from our community and our world.
