Colorado Acreage Overlooking Trout Filled Lake

I discovered when I moved to Colorado that the huge rocky mountains with their stunning snow-capped peaks did not necessarily equate to large amounts of water.  More specifically I mean lakes, rivers, streams, creeks or ponds.  What I have discovered over the years is that Colorado land with water on it, or water nearby is a highly sought after commodity that can be difficult to come by.

Highland Lakes Forest

Today was a great day not only because the sun was out after the beginning of May being a genuine Colorado Rocky Mountain Springtime with snow, hail and rain more often than not but because I have a great listing of 35 acres commutable to Colorado Springs overlooking a trout filled lake (actually there are 7 of them up here in this community) for $215,000.

View Across the lake

With a an old jeep road meandering up a ridge line of with multiple building sites among the huge ponderosa pine, doug fir, and aspen there are plenty of options.  Snow-capped mountain vistas peak show the Colorado you came looking for.  In the meadow below are a series of beaver ponds with a meandering creek that flows through on the way to the lake downstream.  Wildlife love it for nourishment & frolicking.
