Being new to Colorado Springs you find the Springtime in the Rockies can mean just about anything but what your former definition of Spring actually is (or was). With our weather pattern bringing rain and colder temperatures the next few days I thought some new restaurants that I have heard about would be a good idea.
For all of you still in the morning stage for the former Olive Branch downtown there is a new arrival on the scene. If you are hungry for Italian food make plans to go to the Red Gravy. Located in The Olive Garden's former location at 23 S. Tejon it is centrally located downtown and pleasing to the palette. The menu is a crowd pleaser whether for traditional Italian or something more interesting.
If you live anywhere near the Northeast part of town and have not heard about Fuzzy Tacos you really may live in a cave. When Fuzzy Taco patrons say they cannot live to close to the restaurant because they would be there every day it is quite the testimony. Make sure to go with the question "just how are tacos better than BBQ"?
With the farm to fork revolution in full force a new restaurant is on the horizon in Colorado Springs with this and more in mind. The TILL, slated to open June 26th is a huge building with the kitchen as its centerpiece replicating the quintessential farm house. The TILL will offer over 18,000 square feet with over 100 local farmers supporting the restaurant and mercantile. Inside will house a restaurant, bar, mercantile and private party rooms. With the focus on healthy, wholesome food and community being together make sure to make plans to check out the TILL this summer.
Wishing you all a great weekend and happy new dining moments and places. I look forward to hearing back from you.
