Colorado Springs Real Estate Facts & Fun

Where Did All the Good Houses Go?

Showing houses recently I have been hearing a common question.  Is it us or is it just hard to find a house that we like? Are our expectations too high?  After hearing it from a couple of different people I started to think more about what they are asking and why.

Colorado Springs has had a crazy busy year of real estate.  Houses priced right seemed to come on the market one day and be sold in less than a week and often in a day or so.  Multiple offers was a thing of the past that came back to life this summer.  Now that we are through the summer there are not as many houses coming on the market so being able to know about them and see them quickly is critical.  It is not that there are not beautiful homes here or beautiful homes for sale it is that the market had been so busy and there has not be an opportunity for replinshing the inventory of available homes for sale.

Patience is a good thing and having a great agent to help you be aware of new inventory is another.  The market will present great houses and you will find the right one for you.  We also have big changes coming in October with new lending regulations that all must comply with.  As we all prepare for the CFPB (Consumer Finance Protection Bureau) changes coming in October it will be an opportunity for all of us to work together, communicate very well and be prepared for little blips in the road of buying and selling a home.

Here is to your success in finding your perfect home!
